Instrument Rentals

We take great pride in our rental instruments and believe we provide the best rental instrument available. The instruments have been made to our specifications and have been set up to exacting standards using Aubert bridges, hand-fit pegs and a better quality of string than normally found on most rental instruments.

If you're still wondering where to rent an instrument, you should ask the following questions while keeping in mind the advantages we provide.

1) How much is the rental and are there any extra costs? Violins and violas are $26.75 including tax. Cellos are $48.15 and basses are $80.25. There are no extra or hidden charges. All maintenance and loss/damage insurance is included at that price, even the replacement of broken strings.

2) How much is "out the door" price to rent the instrument? Just the first month's rent. There is no deposit and no credit check. A credit or debit card is required to run the monthly rental charge. Don't be fooled by the stores that offer a false bargain such as 3 months for $5. By the time you add the insurance, maintenance, shoulder pad, cleaning cloth and other necessary items, it's no longer a bargain.

3) How much of the rental applies toward the purchase of the instrument? 100% of the rental applies to the purchase of ANY instrument we sell, regardless of size or quality. Beware of music stores which only apply a percentage or only for a specific period of time or only on full size instruments.

4) What happens when we need a bigger instrument? What if we own the instrument, can we trade up? While renting you can trade up in size with no loss of what you've paid. If you own the instrument you you will receive full trade value for what you've paid, assuming the instrument has been maintained properly and hasn't been damaged.

5) Is there a minimum length of contract? One month. You may return the instrument at any time.

6) Do you provide repairs on-site? We are a violin shop not a music store and violin makers by trade. All repairs are done in our shop by us and if there is any problem, we will repair it while you wait or replace your instrument.

Instruments not picked up within 24 hours will not be held. If your child needs to be measured for size, please come in rather than using this form.
